Notice of Intent to Sole Source - Metaphase Chromosome Harvesters

Scope

The Defense Health Agency Contracting Activity (DHACA) in Fort Detrick, MD intends to negotiate on a sole source basis (IAW RFO 12.102(a)) with ADS BIOTEC INC 5781 Van Allen Way, Carlsbad, CA 92008 as the only responsible source that can provide the delivery and installation of one (1) Card Processing Automation CPA200� instrument. This is a Presolicitation notice in accordance with RFO 5.101. The equipment provided by ADS BIOTEC INC is the only source that provides DHACA with the delivery and installation of two (2) Metaphase Chromosome Harvesters instrument. used at the Armed Forces Radiobiology Research Institute (AFRRI) to support their mission. AFRRI has been requested by the Defense Health Agency (DHA) to set up a multiple parameter biodosimetry network including the ability to assess radiation exposure using cytogenetic biodosimetry.
