Scope

USCGC Seneca OEM Tow Line This synopsis/ solicitation is issued pursuant to FAR 13.106-1(b), and the resultant purchase order will be awarded on a firm-fixed price basis using simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR 13. This requirement is of an unusual and compelling urgency in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). Specifically, this acquisition is for a critical on-board tow line to replace an existing unit that was damaged and rendered unusable during operations on the previous patrol. Under safety and readiness regulations, the absence of this equipment immediately renders the vessel Not Mission Capable (NMC) and restricts it from sailing. Delay in award would result in unacceptable risk to government operations by causing prolonged, critical vessel downtime and preventing the execution of scheduled national security missions.
