Dual Purpose Weather Forecasting Solution

Scope

This is a new Area of Interest (AOI) 26-A011 under the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic Rapid Capabilities Cell Commercial Solutions Opening N6523626S0001. NIWC Atlantic requires a prototype capability to evaluate and demonstrate a rapidly deployable, integrated, and scalable solution for processing and visualizing polar-orbiting satellite data in extremely remote, degraded, and disconnected environments such as Antarctica. Currently, safety-of-flight planning and aviation route forecasting are impacted by regional bandwidth limitations and logistical maintenance constraints, and proprietary software outputs that impede open-standard scientific and meteorological collaboration.
