Scope

Notice of intent to award a sole source bridge contract. This is not a solicitation. The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to negotiate a sole source contract for 8 Month Base with DBI Waste Systems INC 377 3rd st Everett MA for the VA Healthcare Connecticut to obtain Waste and Recycling pickup/disposal. While procuring a new Base plus 4 option years contract. The current contract 36C24121D0009 ends on 9/30/2026 with no contractual ability to extend. The current RFQ 36C24126Q0555 did not result in an award in time to prevent a lapse in service due to a Protest. A new RFQ is being developed for a base plus 4 option years. This sole source bridge contract with the current vendor will continue service without interruption or risk of service while the new RFQ is being developed. No other contractor can be installed before the contract expiration date without creating a critical service…
