Executive Summary: Background & Objective The U.S. Air Force has a critical requirement to support the Minuteman III (MMIII) Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) by maintaining the operational readiness of the Missile Guidance Set (MGS) to meet warfighter requirements. Specifically, this effort supports the repair line for the Pendulous Integrated Gyroscopic Accelerometer (PIGA) Float Assembly. The PIGA Float is a critical and precise sub-assembly that serves as the heart of the PIGA instrument, enabling it to measure missile acceleration.
