SOLICITATION ID: 6982AF27B000004 PROJECT NUMBER: CO FTNP ROMO 407(1) PROJECT NAME: Holzwarth Culvert PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This project will replace the deficient Holzwarth Culvert (Structure No. 1520-029S), a six-barrel corrugated metal arch pipe culvert on the Holzwarth Access Road with a steel girder bridge. Located in Rocky Mountain National Park, approximately nine miles north of Grand Lake, CO, along US HWY 34 at an elevation of 8,900 feet, the culvert conveys flow from the Colorado River and provides access to the Holzwarth Historic Site. The purpose of this project is to prevent future roadway damage and flooding while maintaining access to employee housing, the historic site, and National Park Service and Forest Service recreation opportunities.
